What world is Chanel living in that these prices make sense?My SA just told me Chanel price increases have already taken effect in certain countries. Increases have gone into effect in Australia, Japan, China, and Thailand. So far, price hikes on Chanel’s Classic Flap are around 7%. Prices neither in the United States or Europe have risen yet. Has anyone else heard this?!! 😵💫
It is ridiculous - the current price increase on bags is the 4th one in 12 months. The last price increase in Australia, classic flap prices were up ~20% or close to that. Chanel’s quality has been slipping for a really long time, and is continually declining. Another price increase will probably just further push my loyalty further towards Dior and Hermès. It’s sad because I used to totally be a Chanel girlI am so disappointed to see yet another incredible price increase from Chanel. I am fortunate to already own my dream bag (bought before the crazy increases) and I own a couple other items. There are a few other items I want to complete my ultimate Chanel collection and then I think I'm done, but honestly the constant increases in price with no .The more they increase their prices and don’t increase quality, the less likely I’ll continue to be a Chanel customer. They so badly want to be considered an Hermes equal, but they’re unwilling to match Hermes quality. Yup it’s insane, especially when you you realize the last 3 price bumps are within a year. Literally a k increase in one year 🤯 Over the past 2 years, prices on some of Chanel’s classic bags have gone up almost 25%. We examine these increases and why they continue to happen.
